Well, BloGTK wasn’t dead, just sleeping very, very soundly. I’ve been busy with all that stuff that goes on in The Real World (not to be confused with the similarly titled reality program), so I haven’t even had a chance to touch BloGTK 2.0 in months.

And of course, I completely forgot to back up the old databased, meaning that the old blog got lost in the process. Yeah, some wonderful project administrator I am.

The good news is that BloGTK won’t be dying. However, I’m thinking of completely refactoring everything in the codebase and basically starting from scratch. The reason for this is because I want to go through and eliminate some of the cruft, make the codebase more modular, and generally refine the program into something that’s worth using.

Of course, all that takes time, which is why I’m looking for any help on this project I can get. If you know your way around Python and can help with building the next generation of Linux blog clients email me at blogtk@gmail.com.

More news as it comes…
